1. Indulge on the Weekends

If you are dieting, it’s important to not get bored and discouraged. It’s also important to keep your metabolism on it’s toes so it doesn’t slow down when you begin limiting your calories.

Indulging in your favorite foods on the weekends solves this problem. You have something to look forward to every weekend during a diet, something to help you keep pressing on.

Eat anything you want. Ice cream. Pizza. Chocolate. Some people have found that they actually lose more weight when they take a break on the weekends, because it ramps their metabolism back up.

2. Fight Temptation One Bite at a Time

When dieting, it’s important to fight the cravings when it’s not the weekend. You can do this with a diet pill. Or you can follow a simple rule: one bite is enough.

If you’re in a restaurant with friends, and they want to oder dessert, it’s tempting to join them. Instead, just ask one of them if you can have just a bite of theirs. A single bite can do wonders for your sweet-tooth, and make it much easier to fight the craving.

3. Only Weigh Yourself Once a Week

We can understand the desire to weigh every chance you get, multiple times a day. But this can lead to low spirits.

If you are constantly measuring your progress, it’s much harder to see that progress. If you set a single time and schedule when you will weight yourself, it is much more likely you will be encouraged by the gains you’ve made since the last time you measured.

4. Start or Join a Support Group

A support groups with friends and/or family members that are also trying to lose weight can be a huge boost of encouragement, and push you over the top to weight loss success.

Sharing both struggles and successes lifts everyone up. Having the accountability of the group also gives you another reason not to fail. The key is to be completely honest with each other.

It’s best to meet once a week with this type of group.

5. Enroll in a Diet Meal Delivery Plan

Diets are hard enough without having to worry about buying and cooking all the special food you might require. Extra stress means a higher chance of failure.

You can eliminate this stress by enrolling in a plan that delivers ready-to-eat meals right to your door. No worries about ingredients, measurements, or cooking skills. Just eat what they send you.
